The Premium Performance Filter Cartridge, HG or HGN, is an advanced multi-stage 2 micron rating carbon block filter that utilizes new technology with the highest grade coconut shell carbon, KDF media, and proprietary materials to effectively control build-up and maximize reduction of water contaminants and heavy metals such as lead, mercury, nickel, and chromium.

Specifically designed for Sanastec, this filter cartridge is also compatible with most Enagic and Toyo water ionizers. It is recommended to replace the filter every 6-12 months. Made in the USA, the Premium Performance compatible filter cartridges are manufactured using KDF media and a specially designed adsorbent medium for heavy metals, chlorine taste, and odor reduction.

With a 2 micron rating coconut shell carbon block and a capacity of 3,000 gallons for chlorine taste and odor reduction, these filter cartridges are suitable for water pressure ranging from 7-75 PSI and can withstand a maximum operating temperature of 104 F. The advanced multi-stage filtration system ensures the removal of contaminants, and all materials and components used are food-grade.

The filter cartridges are available in both HG and HGN types, with HG being suitable for machines with a round center hole and HGN for machines with 2 indents or notches in the center hole. Carbon Block Filter with activated carbon is recommended for better filtration efficiency compared to GAC filters, as it has a larger surface area and uniform pore structure, rendering it more effective in removing chlorine, undesirable odors, volatile organic chemicals, and other chemical contaminants.

Carbon block filters remove more contaminants than GAC filters due to their stronger structure and uniform pore size. The micron rating for carbon block filters ranges from 20 microns to 0.5 microns, with the latter being more effective in removing particles such as cysts and asbestos. Overall, carbon block filters release minimal carbon fines and are more effective in removing contaminants compared to GAC filters.

Compatible with most A2O Water, Enagic, and Toyo water ionizers, the Premium Performance Filter Cartridge is suitable for Ionizer Machines that fit HG type filters such as IE 300, 400, 500, 900, Leveluk SD 501, MX 55, 99, VENUSProtec, and Ionizer Machines that fit HGN type filters including Leveluk SD 501, Leveluk JR II, and K8. With the highest grade coconut shell carbon block and KDF media, these filter cartridges effectively reduce water contaminants to provide clean and safe drinking water.
